**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide close personal protection to clients during daily activities, travel, and events.
- Conduct advance site security assessments and route planning.
- Identify and mitigate potential threats or vulnerabilities in real time.
- Coordinate with local law enforcement and emergency services when required.
- Maintain constant situational awareness and adapt to changing environments.
- Ensure client privacy, safety, and comfort at all times.
- Operate security vehicles, including defensive driving when needed.
- Maintain accurate records and incident reports.
- Ensure all protective operations adhere to legal and ethical standards.

**Requirements**:

- **PSIRA registration (Grade B or higher)** - _mandatory_
- **Firearm competency certificate** (business purposes - SAPS accredited)
- **Must have your own registered firearm**:

- **Valid South African driver’s license** with a clean driving record
- **Advanced driving skills**, including defensive and evasive driving techniques
- **Excellent physical condition** and fitness level
- **Excellent communication and interpersonal skills**:

- Strong **discretion, confidentiality, and professional conduct** at all times
- Ability to **work irregular hours and be available at short notice**:

- **Strong knowledge of Cape Town** and surrounding areas, including high-risk zones
- Ability to **conduct threat assessments and develop mitigation strategies**:

- **Competent in the use of radios, surveillance equipment, and GPS systems**:

- Must be able to travel **locally and internationally** if required
- **Clear criminal record and background check**

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Military, police, or elite security unit background
- Executive Protection certification (e.g. Ronin SA, ESI, or equivalent)
- Proficiency in multiple languages (English + Afrikaans/Xhosa or others)
- Knowledge of **counter-surveillance, intelligence gathering, and tactical operations**

**Salary**:
Daily/shift rate - commensurate with qualifications. May include travel allowance depending on assignment.
