Yoga Programme Facilitator

Yoga Programme Facilitator X 2, to join a reputablo NGO. The Organization was founded in 2007 and operates in under-resourced schools in Cape Town. The aim is to narture and inspire resilient children and youth who are deeply connected to taking positive action for themselves, the environment and their communities. The Organization’s holistic education Programmes focus on life skills, wellness and the environment, working with teachers, children and youth.
The Organization works across eight primary schools in Lavender Hill and Khayelitsha reaching over 3500 children and 80 teachers weekly. The Organization runs various Programmes, including Yoga, Worm Farming, Eco Clubs, Leadership Training, Holiday Programmes, Camps and Teacher Training.
The Organization seeks to appoint two Yoga Programme Facilitators, each based in Lavender Hill and Khayelitsha. Using interactive processes, our Yoga Programme equips children with skills and knowledge to be healthy, confident and resilient.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Facilitate daily foundation phase yoga lessons.
- Facilitate the Yoga extra-mural club.
- Undertake the necessary planning and preparation for each activity, including.
- Recruitment, resource management, liaising with stakeholders, booking venues, transport, catering, uniforms, and communication with team members.
- Undertake the required M&E and administration, attendance registers, report writing and managing petty cash.
- Assist in organizing and facilitating Holiday Programmes, leadership camps and other events.
- Attend team meetings, trainings, workshops and events.
**Key Requirements**
- Completed a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training and/or at least 2 years of experience in teaching yoga to children and youth groups.
- Fluent in isiXhosa (for Khayelitsha).
- Excellent facilitator with an ability to mentor children and facilitate their learning and growth experience in working in the Development Sector and within a team.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Good administration skills.
- Good computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Gmail, Google Drive, Google Calendar etc.)

- Experienced and passionate about yoga, both personally and professionally.
- Self-motivated.
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent communicator.
- Relationship management skills.
- Eager to learn and grow.
**Advantageous**
- Experienced in facilitating Life Skills or Personal Development Lessons with children or youth.
- Residing in or near ECP’s operational areas (Khayelitsha and Lavender Hill).
