Payroll Administrator

A market leader in the packaging sector seeks a well-qualified individual with a passion for numbers, manufacturing and people to to join their financial sector at their facility in KZN. This position will report to the Commercial Executive and offers tremendous opportunity for personal and professional growth.
**Requirements**:
**Education**:
- Matriculation certificate, preferably with Mathematics and/or Accounting;
- Certificate/diploma in basic accounting, payroll or HR;
**Experience**:
- 5 - 10 years’ experience in a similar position with a proven track record in Payroll and an excellent administrative track record;
- Sage 300 VIP People knowledge is crucial;
- Kronos Time & Attendance knowledge would be advantageous;
- Excellent MS Excel skills;
- Ability to communicate on all levels across the department;
- Attention to detail;
- A love of numbers and excellent numeric skills;
- Must be able to work over December.
**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Importing and completing the weekly wage run;
- Managing all administration relevant to a weekly payroll;
- Ensuring all employees deductions are correctly recorded and the relevant deductions made;
- Calculate and pay over third-party payments timeously and accurately;
- Process employee terminations;
- Compiling all relevant weekly reports for the production meeting;
- Loading and updating employee information on SAGE;
- Inputting and updating annual wage budgets;
- Assist employees with wage queries;
- Maintaining and updating all permanent and contract employee personal files;
- Compiling annual bonus (+voucher) schedules;
- Administering UIF documentation as required;
- Coordinating monthly HR Report on turnover and absenteeism;
- Staff taxi assistance - deductions, attend meetings;
- Checking and submitting time sheets to 3rd party timeously;
- Any other ad hoc payroll related duties when required
**Salary**: R15,000.00 - R17,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Durban, KwaZulu-Natal: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
**Experience**:
