Marketing Intern

**Purpose**

To assist the marketing department, in performing key tasks and helping with events, marketing collateral, corporate material, media, and general admin duties.

**Education &**

**Experience**

**Required**:

- Matric + National Diploma in Marketing
- Graduate
- Good administration skills

**Specific Experience and other Qualities**:

- Basic to Intermediate MS Office
- Basic English writing skills
- Strong attention to details

**Task/Responsibilities**

**Event co-ordination**:

- Assist with all events related tasks
- Receive and track RSVP’s and communicate with events owner
- Ordering of lunches and catering for events
- Setting up of rooms and putting up branding for events
- Checking banners before and after events
- Packing promotional stock for the Mobile exhibit

**Digital Marketing Assistance**:

- Assist with social media calendar
- Assist with social media postings
- Ensure that TV’s around the building are working, switched on and playing updated content
- **Co-ordination of publications and PR (internal & external)**
- Circulation of magazines and corporate publications as required
- Monthly distribution of PR’s to media
- Updating magazine wall while filing previous magazines to keep a rolling year of magazines
- Filing and keeping record of all published media releases
- Assist with collating information and images for technical articles for press (Liaise with LIM & PM)

**Co-ordination of technical documents**:

- Ensure a complete list of online brochures is maintained on DWP and updated frequently
- Inventory control of brochures on a quarterly basis
- Liaise with PM’s/LIM’s to Ensure all new and relevant brochures are uploaded and communicated to Sales
- Stocking of brochure stands in reception and wazzup areas on a weekly basis.
- Brochure stands in wazzup area to be updated with the relevant brochures for events taking place.
- Ordering of brochures and posters

**Management of Corporate and Promotional Collateral**:

- Source and order corporate promotional collateral, business cards from local suppliers
- Ensure corporate and promotional material are purchased within budget
- Corporate and promotional collateral adheres to CI and brand standards
- Responsible for management of the Marketing storerooms
- Inventory control of promotional (e.g., pens, note pads etc.) and corporate material (e.g., flags, banners, PM Demo units) i.e. signing out and in of stock on the events checklist or events request form
- Distribution and control of promotional giveaways and corporate wear
- Send corporate and promotional material as and when required to branches
- Record keeping of all staff giveaways handed out

**General**:

- Assist HOD with adhoc admin tasks
- Assist Marcom Manager with wazzup admin e.g. collecting pictures arranging folders as required
- Assist LIM’s and PMs to compile and format documents
- Setting up department meetings, creating agenda with managers and capturing minutes
- Assist with adhoc marketing tasks

**Hours of Work**

Pay: R1 000,00 - R2 000,00 per month
