**Your role**:
As a Destination Specialist, you'll recruit travellers to our projects and manage the entire sales process. Your role involves understanding potential travellers, recommending the most suitable projects and guiding them seamlessly through the process. We're looking for a friendly and enthusiastic individual with an eye for detail and the confidence to engage with people from around the world, primarily aged between 17 and 25.
You'll be part of the African Impact sales team, operating in shifts across various time zones in a hybrid work environment. While we currently operate with a remote team, a shared office space in central Cape Town will be available.
**Why you’re needed**:
You are at the heart of our mission, ensuring that African Impact programs have the participants they need to create tangible change. Armed with in-depth product knowledge, you'll excel at nurturing leads, closing sales, and amplifying our impact.
**What you’ll bring**:

- 3+ years of sales expertise with a proven track record of success (experience in the tourism/education industry is advantageous)
- A minimum of 2 years of live chat agent experience preferred
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- Tech-savvy: Proficiency in CRM, G-Suite & live chat engagement (HubSpot knowledge/experience is a plus)
- Effective multitasking and organisational skills
- Exceptional phone communication skills and a passion for driving positive change in the world

While not mandatory, international travel experience is advantageous. Experience working international hours in sales or customer service, particularly with the EMEA and USA markets.
A passion for responsible and immersive travel is a must, along with a genuine enthusiasm for community development and the preservation of wildlife and the environment. Additionally, the knack for fostering strong connections with our potential travellers and team members is key.
**Success measures**:

- Champion lead conversion across multiple channels - from inquiries to callbacks for EMEA, North America and Asia-Pacific
- Ignite revenue growth through engaging live chat interactions
- Be the compass of participant expectations and program knowledge
- Contribute to achieving business goals through a minimum revenue target
