**Signal Hill Products is looking for a Raw Materials Planner**

**Position/Title: Raw Materials Planner**
**Reports Too: Planning Manager**
**Area Johannesburg**
**Number of Reports 0**

**Overall Responsibility**:
Compiles a raw materials plan and engages with suppliers to support business production objectives taking into consideration both risk and cost

**Main responsibilities**

Compiles a medium tactical raw materials plan on a weekly basis taking all relevant constraints into consideration.
Creates all order requirements for materials to be attained within the required lead-time
Manages relationships with suppliers to enable business objectives.
Updates the Safety Stock requirements routinely to support business cashflow objectives and buffering as required against supply chain variability.
Analyse raw material requirements and MOQs routinely to compile the best ordering pattern to reduce costs and business risk
Works closely with the finance department to support in negotiations with contracts at suppliers to balance cost reduction initiatives with business risk.
Participates in the Supply Review flagging any Raw materials risks in the tactical horizon.
Engages in the S&OE routine flagging tactical weekly raw materials risks to the business.
Supports with a Raw materials strategic horizon view on a yearly basis.
Actively works to support company objectives on NPDs ensuring pragmatic raw materials purchases.

**Requirements of the Role**
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, supply chain management, operations management, business administration, or a related field
Experience in working in an FMCG company is advantageous

**Preferred Skills/Competencies**
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in inventory management techniques.
Knowledge of MRP systems and planning tools.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work with complex data.
Understanding of supply chain processes, including procurement, production planning, and logistics.
Proficiency in using spreadsheet and data analysis tools.
Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize and meet deadlines.
