Job Overview

To effectively and efficiently manage the key sales performance outputs of the retail sales department in order to ensure optimal sales performance and attainment of key strategic deliverables as defined by DTSA and aligned to established sales targets and objectives, whilst ensuring compliance to the Company's Integrity & Anti Bribery Codes, Conflict of Interest Policy & S.H.E. requirements Delegation of Authority and organisational processes.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

- Strategy implementation: Develop and maintain strategic relationships with stakeholders in order to deliver on key sales performance areas, whilst monitoring sales activities. Align the used business strategy to new vehicle sales strategy.
- People Management: To set clear KPI's and conduct staff performance appraisals and ensure KPI's are met. Take appropriate action based on required output. Identify training needs, initiate suitable training in conjunction with DTSA standards. Conduct regular staff meetings with team to improve motivation and communication. Effectively manage of daily activities according to KPI's.
- Performance management: Manage stock levels and forecasted sales. Implement, in conjunction with the TruckStore Management Team, corrective measures to ensure targets are being met. Build and maintain relationships with relevant stakeholders. Achieving sales and stock targets as per set KPI. General support: May include any other required support not specified here.
- Sales and finance administration: Ensure access to all the relevant information required to conduct an efficient sales transaction. Ensure all information between customer and TruckStore is produced in an efficient and compliant manner. To ensure effective sales processes and communication in order to expedite timeous resolution of any enquiries.
- Operational excellence: Managing assets and stock sourcing. This includes but not limited to maintaining of; optimal stock levels in line with benchmarks and targets, ensure appropriate stock mix to meet market demand, ensure all procurement processes are adhered to, ensure all logístical processes are adhered to, ensure risk to vehicles are limited as far as possible, to ensure effective sales processes and communication in order to expedite timeous resolution of any enquiries.
- Integrity & Compliance: Commit to a culture of integrity with particular consideration to compliance: Promote and support integrity including rewarding and disclosing compliance achievement or misconduct in an appropriate manner. Implementation and promotion of efficient and effective internal compliance controls, including regular assessments and risk mitigating measures to avoid noncompliance. Complete and arrange training requirements on time when required.
- Profitable growth: Generate new business. Regular contract with all stakeholders. Support in the sourcing of stock required to meet sales targets. Generate sales campaigns. Monthly progress report with action plan to drive sales and mitigate risk in respect of sales targets and stock aging. Develop marketing campaigns in an effort to increase sales and build the TruckStore brand.
- General Administration: Ensure all information and documentation is captured and filed according to TruckStore procedure. Ensure DOA (Delegation of Authority) is adhered to at all times. Ensure information, where applicable, is shared with all relevant shareholders in a timeous manner and according to KPI. Keep an accurate record and storage system. Ensure all information between customer and TruckStore is produced in an efficient and compliant manner.
