An exciting opportunity has become available for the role of a Restaurant General Manager for our Pizza Hut stores in Cape Town and surrounding areas, in the Western Cape.

**PURPOSE OF THE POSITION**:

- Manage a restaurant in accordance with Company Policies and Procedures and assume primary responsibility for the achievement of designated customer, profit, sales and employee P&L targets. The person must be able to move as required between restaurants.

**POSITION FUNCTIONS**:

- Champion Yum’s culture and values. Act as a role model, providing leadership and coaching on an ongoing basis to the team and management in restaurants
- Assume overall responsibility for the correct implementation of the Employee, Customer and Visitor Safety according to company policy, procedures and standards. Ensure all employees are provided with the appropriate training and resources to perform their duties safely
- Manage the restaurant in accordance with Company Policies and Procedures including directing the activities of employees in maximizing and achieve customer, people, sales, operating efficiency and profit objectives and targets.
- Achieve Customer Hospitality Standards within the restaurant by ensuring that all employees are focused on exceeding customer expectations for Great Product, Great Service and Maintaining a Great Restaurant.
- Ensure that controls and procedures are implemented to protect the security of employees and company funds and assets
- Coordinate the effective recruitment and selection of team members using company systems.
- Implement restaurant training programmes for team members and management to enable them to meet the standards required, maximise performance and realise their career potential. Monitor performance and implement corrective action where required. Proactively identify and develop talent as part of the bench planning strategy for the restaurant and brand.
- Forecast and schedule management and team member labour, semi variables and cost of Food and Packaging within budget. Ensure tasks are only undertaken by those employees certified to perform them.
- Keep the Area Coach informed of any competitive activity that is likely to affect the trading results of the restaurant.
- Report to the Area Coach any aspect of employee relations, customer service, attendance of and/or inspections by third parties that have or are likely to affect the operation of the restaurant.

Specialised or Technical Knowledge/Skills
- High School education - Grade 12 /NQF 4
- 3 years multi outlet food retail or service industry experience at a supervisory/management level preferred.
- Proven track record of On Target performance in Balanced Scorecard KPIs (or equivalent) with primary profit responsibility
- Certified in Leading a Restaurant (LAR)
- Clear ITC check
- Ability to engage, lead and motivate employees to deliver and exceed Customer Satisfaction expectations.
- Sound communication and interpersonal skills
- The person must be able to move as required between restaurants according to the needs of the business as determined by Pizza Hut from time to time.
- Drivers Licence and own transport

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Cape Town, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- Restaurant management: 3 years (preferred)
