**Key Responsibilities**:
Scope not limited to the following: 1. Air & Ocean Freight Knowledge 2. Product and Procurement/Pricing - Support sales and servicing to offer competitive pricing and workable solutions to clients, in conjunction with the Air & Ocean TLM’s - Monitor sales and pricing activities with respect to achieving sales / volume targets for new and existing clients. - Assistance on Air & Ocean Procurement with service providers to address specific customer needs as required by the TLM’s. - Measure conformance to KPI’s of carriers and other 3rd party suppliers within the framework of the centralized buying concept at a National/Regional level from an Air & Ocean Export perspective supported by the Air & Ocean TLM. 3. Business Development/Volume Growth - Define & quantify a pipeline of target customers per Trade Lane/Country. - Share sales leads and ensure regular feedback is received and shared with all stakeholders. - Ensure our internal pipeline is updated. - Be involved in creating relevant marketing materials to accommodate news alerts, promotions, new services etc. - Maintain good relationships with internal stakeholders. 4. Analyse Market Conditions & Trends - Monitor Air & Ocean volumes to/from ZA and identify opportunities and improvements. - Research market & industry trends & conditions - Gather Market Intelligence to ensure on-going competitiveness. - Identify and analyse lost business & provide solutions. 5. Administration Duties - Creation of product sheets to highlight strengths and assist business with selling of new solutions. - Communicate with and educate employees and clients about Forwarding products. - Support and compilation of presentations and proposals
