**Luxury Safari Company is looking for an EAST AFRICA TRAVEL SPECIALIST**Location: Cape Town**
- Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in and knowledge of East Africa safaris
- Must have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in a retail sales role for an African inbound operator
- Must have a sound understanding of the safari tourism environment
- Must have experience in and knowledge of East African Safari sales
- Knowledge of Business Sales Systems e.g. HubSpot (advantage)
- Skilled in designing detailed and individualised quotes for itinerary requests
- Must have excellent sales skills and customer service skills and the ability to close a sale and upsell
- Must have excellent management skills, the ability to multitask and prioritise tasks
- Must have exceptional communication skills at the highest level
- Must have a service delivery mindset and a strong customer service focus
- Must be target-oriented and have experience in delivering results in a performance-oriented and fast-paced sales environment
- Must be confident, decisive and have great energy
- Must be well versed in conflict resolution and conflict management
- Must have the ability to work well under pressure and have experience in handling demanding situations (such as customer complaints, last-minute requests and changes whilst travelling)
- Must have the experience and willingness to handle issues outside of office hours when required
- Must have the ability to work well independently as well as within a broader team setup
- Must reside in Cape Town
- Must have a valid passport to travel abroad when required
- Must have a clear criminal record and credit history and able to provide proof of both
- Reports to the Retail Sales Manager

- Cape Town, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- East Africa safari: 5 years (preferred)
- retail sales for an African inbound operator: 10 years (preferred)
