**In-Store Salesperson Job Description**
## **Responsibilities**:
- **Greet Customers**: Welcome customers as they enter the store and offer assistance.
- **Understand Customer Needs**: Engage with customers to understand their needs and preferences.
- **Product Knowledge**: Maintain an in-depth understanding of the store's products and services to effectively assist and advise customers.
- **Sales**: Assist customers in selecting products, provide product information, and close sales.
- **Upselling and Cross-Selling**: Suggest additional products or complementary items to enhance the customer's purchase experience.
- **Customer Service**: Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns professionally and efficiently.
- **Inventory Management**: Assist in stock management, including restocking shelves and updating inventory records.
- **Maintain Store Appearance**: Ensure the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing.
- **Sales Reporting**: Track and report on sales performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- **Cash Handling**: Process transactions accurately, including cash, credit, and debit card payments.
## **Requirements**:
- **Experience**: Previous retail or sales experience is preferred.
- **Skills**: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused attitude.
- **Knowledge**: Strong understanding of sales techniques and customer service principles.
- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in sales or marketing is a plus.
- **Technology Proficiency**: Familiarity with point of sale (POS) systems and inventory management software.
- **Appearance**: Presentable and professional appearance.
- **Availability**: Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
