Do you love working with kids and inspiring the next generation of engineers, designers, and builders? Our tutors are not only educators, but role models for kids & teens of all ages and backgrounds. We look for individuals with great attitudes and a desire to help kids build resilience and grit alongside their coding skills. Our tutors foster a safe space for students to develop their foundation in computer science.

The tutors at Cheery Robot Academy work directly with students (age 6-18) either privately 1:1 or in small groups by teaching weekly, online coding classes and workshops. All classes are taught remotely, and we’ve designed this role to be a flexible, part-time position.

Tutors set their recurring availability on a weekly basis and are matched with students at a regular time. High-performing tutors have opportunities for promotions and additional responsibilities.

**QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED**
- University or college-level coursework in computer science and programming (minimum completion of one CS course or equivalent). Tutors will be assigned different students and courses to teach based on their experience.
- Experience working with young students and track record in improving student outcomes.
- Passion for building interest in computer science in kids and teenagers (ages 6-18).
- The ability to work well with students of different ages, some background in computer science.
- Strong communication skills, especially with families (both children and adults).

- Have a reliable computer and fast internet for online tutoring
- Be committed and enthusiastic
- Provide supporting documents of qualifications and experience

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 10 per week

**Salary**: From R150.00 per hour
