**JOB OVERVIEW**

Under the guidance of the Operations Manager (Centre Manager), the Restaurant Manager will assist in all aspects of the day-to-day Restaurant operations.

**Responsibilities and Duties**
- Ensuring incoming staff complies with company policy.
- Training staff to follow restaurant procedures.
- Maintaining safety and food quality standards.
- Keeping customers happy and handling complaints.
- Organizing schedules.
- Keeping track of employees’ hours.
- Recording payroll data.
- Ordering food, linens, gloves and other supplies while staying within budget limitations.
- Researches, recommends, and introduces methods, products and services to improve the service delivery system as it relates to the the Restaurant.
- Participates in pricing strategies when menus are reviewed to maintain departmental food costs.
- Performs tasks and projects assigned by management.

**QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS**

**Essential**
- Two (2) years experience in Operations management or supervisory role in a 4 or 5 star hotel and/or restaurant.
- Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with customers, management and co-workers to their understanding.
- Ability to enforce restaurant standards, policies and procedures with all Food and Beverage associates.
- Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments; delegate work.
- Ability to lead and motivate staff and maintain a cohesive team.
- Ability to identify restaurant training needs and arrange for such training to be provided.
- Ability to focus attention of details.
- Ability to remain calm and courteous with demanding/difficult guests and/or situations.
- Ability to perform job functions to standards under pressure.
