Job Title: Workshop Assistant (Temporary)

Job Summary:
**Responsibilities**:
Metal Fabrication: Perform welding and cutting tasks according to specifications using various techniques and equipment.

Heavy Equipment Operation: Operate machinery such as guillotines and bending brakes to cut and shape steel materials accurately.

Boilermaker Skills: Utilize boilermaker techniques to assemble, install, and repair metal structures and components.

Material Handling: Assist in the handling and movement of steel materials within the workshop, ensuring safety protocols are followed.

Quality Assurance: Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy, making necessary adjustments or repairs as needed.

Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on equipment and tools to ensure optimal functionality.

Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with colleagues to complete projects efficiently and effectively.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for oneself and others.

**Requirements**:
Proven experience in welding, metal fabrication, and cutting with heavy equipment.

Familiarity with operating machinery such as guillotines and bending brakes.

General boilermaker skills are advantageous.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.

Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks in a workshop environment.

Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Willingness to work on a temporary contract basis.

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience in metalworking or a related field.

Relevant certifications or licenses may be preferred.

Work Environment:
The role will primarily be based in a workshop environment, which may involve exposure to noise, fumes, and varying temperatures. Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided.
