Mechanical Fitter

**VACANCY**
**THE FOLLOWING POSITION IS AVAILABLE AT SIZA WATER**

**MECHANICAL FITTER (REF: MAIN/04/2025)**

**The successful applicant is required to perform the following key functions, amongst other duties**:

- Responsible for the repair, maintenance, and servicing of pumps - including FLYGT, Gorman Rupp, KSB, and Ebara models - as well as other mechanical equipment such as gearboxes, valves and other rotating equipment.
- Pump fault finding, efficiency testing, and root cause analysis, with the ability to deliver high-quality repairs both in the workshop and on-site with mínimal downtime.
- Generate and submit reports.
- Perform structured investigations into recurring failures and provide detailed reports and recommend corrective/preventive actions.
- Perform standby duties including Senior Standby.
- Responding to alarms and callouts.
- Work in accordance with company safety policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Perform other related duties within the Maintenance Department.
