Draughtsman: Mechanical Design

**PURPOSE OF THE JOB**:
Falcon is looking for a Draughtsman: Mechanical Design, responsible to contribute to the design, development, and creation of plans for new products, as well as the enhancement of existing products. This role also involves the design and development of the necessary facilities used in realizing these products within the company.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB**

**Drafting and Design**
- 3D CAD modelling for conceptual products, prototypes, and more.
- Generation of manufacturing drawings for prototype manufacturing.

**Supplier and Stakeholder Liaison**
- Work with suppliers, product end-users, technical specialists, and colleagues to commission designs and drafting.
- Attend workshops, trade shows, and exhibitions as required by the company.

**Project Involvement**
- Assist in the company's product development initiatives in collaboration with the R&D team.
- Contribute to improvements in production processes and facilities.
- Participate in meetings, present proposals, and provide regular project progress reports.
- Oversee in-field product testing and monitoring.

**Employee Management**
- Supervise employees, delegate duties, and ensure efficient performance.
- Provide training, motivation, and constructive feedback to team members.
- Support the development of employees' personal development plans and succession planning.
- National Higher Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 2 years relevant experience in a mechanical, mechanized, or general technical environment
- Proficiency in CAD software for mechanical design.
- Solid understanding of mechanical systems, equipment, and machinery.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office and advanced Excel skills.

- Numerical and statistical processing skills.
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot product defects.
- Capable of following procedures and producing detailed reports.
