Investment Analyst

Sanlam Investments Multi Manager researches, identifies, blends and manages portfolios that give you access to the best investment managers, with the aim of achieving the best possible returns at the appropriate level of risk. We design and blend unique portfolios based on a deep understanding of our clients’ investment aims and a fundamental insight into how they perceive risk. By developing a mutual understanding of their investment aim and philosophy we are able to assist them in achieving their investment goals in the long run.
What will you do?

Support the Senior Portfolio Manager on Content Strategy, with specific emphasis on:
Analyse, interpret and disseminate through writing, smart packaging of market information.
Being part of the DFM Portfolio Management Team, assisting with investment queries, proposals and any other related support needed.
Provide support to Portfolio Management Team and their clients within the Retail environment regarding the structuring of portfolios and investment analysis.

**Assisting with**:
Creation and updating of new business pitches.
Maintaining existing business - from intermediaries in point above.
Potentially present investment-related information to intermediaries.
Write articles on research/industry/investment topics in English.
Be available to travel nationally (conferences).
Handle investment operational functions related to portfolio management such as:
Portfolio Compliance.
Amendments of investment guidelines.
Assist in internal Stakeholder management.

Qualifications & Experience

Undergraduate degree (B.Sc, B.BusSci, BCom)
Proven ability to write and present research & articles
CFA/CFP would be advantageous
Asset Manager /Fund Research experience would be highly advantageous

Ability to produce written reports which clearly articulate the analysts research
Computer literate (MS Office
- advanced, knowledge of VBA and/or other programming languages would be beneficial)
