**Purpose of the Job**:
We are looking for an individual with an enquiring mind who has solid experience within the retail industry who will join the IT team tasked with supporting and extending the Distribution capability within the greater supply chain landscape. This individual will evaluate the needs of the business owners and then transforms these into logical and technical views to be used by the developers to fulfil the business requirements.

**Job Objectives**:
The development of systems requirements through the design, prototyping, testing, training, defining, and implementing of procedures for support of practical business solutions in order to align to Corporate Business Strategy. Customizing the respective business area and making sure the system reacts in the manner according to the constraints of the request. Prepare test scripts for testing the configured scenarios and perform the testing. Oversee the development of Genero (Informix 4gl) programs and functions as requested by business in accordance with the Shoprite Standards. Oversee the development of Cognos Analytics reports and dashboards as requested by business in accordance with the Shoprite Standards. Provide support to the junior members of the team as well as users of the INFOR WMS System.

IT-related (degree/diploma)**
Experience**:
Essential 2 - 3 years Retail Experience 1 - 2 years Create and amend technical documents Desirable 2 - 3 years Programming experience 2 - 3 years Business intelligence experience**
Knowledge and Skills**:
2 - 3 years Cognos Analytics 2 - 3 years Genero (Informix 4gl) programming language G-Suite skills Problem solving skills Good communication skills (oral & written) Planning & Organising skills Management skills Analytical skills**
