Information
**Requirements**:

- A B Degree in Data Science/Data Engineering and Statistics.
- Minimum 8 years’ relevant experience in Data

Management, Data Analyses and Statistics.
- Proficiency with MS Office, Business Intelligence

software (incl. creation of professional dashboards and
reporting), SQL.
- Proficiency with Python and R is highly recommended.
- Experience with SAP and GIS (ESRI) will be advantageous
- Valid driver’s licence

Key Performance Areas
- Ensure accuracy, integrity and compliance of data

gathering, data input and data Structures.
- Perform statistical analysis on data, build professional

business intelligence reports and dashboards.
- Present findings and make recommendations.
- Liaise with both internal and external data and business

information partners.
- Execute, manage and monitor the consolidation,

processing and presentation of functional information to
ensure that information and records detailing activities /
operations are updated, maintained and made available
to support the directorate’s planning and decision making
process as well as supporting operational outputs.
- Develop, manage and enhance the Transport Data

Warehouse.
- Develop, implement and monitor data and business

intelligence policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
- Lead data and business intelligence initiatives in directorate.
- Establish an in-house data management and business

intelligence competency.
- Import or develop training material and provide ongoing

on the job training.
