**About the Role**
We are looking for a **Senior Data Specialist** with strong expertise in SQL, Excel, and Power BI — a true king or queen of data analysis and manipulation. This role will play a critical part in auditing our billing team, driving revenue assurance, and ensuring data integrity across the business.
In the first six months, the focus will be on cleaning, validating, and auditing data to strengthen our financial and operational reporting. Once this initial phase is complete, the role will evolve to focus more heavily on Power BI development, advanced analytics, and driving insights that support strategic decision-making.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Audit and validate data from the billing team to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Perform detailed data analysis to identify discrepancies, trends, and opportunities for revenue assurance.
- Clean, structure, and manipulate complex datasets using SQL and Excel.
- Develop dashboards and visualizations in Power BI to support decision-making across the business.
- Partner with Finance, Operations, and other teams to deliver accurate, timely, and insightful reporting.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance data accuracy and efficiency.
- Support ongoing projects by providing analytical insights and robust data models.
**Skills & Experience**
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst, Data Specialist, or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in **SQL, Excel, and Power BI**.
- Excellent skills in data cleaning, transformation, and manipulation.
- Ability to audit datasets and identify inconsistencies with precision.
- Experience working with financial, billing, or revenue data is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage large, complex datasets.
- Effective communicator, able to present technical insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving mindset and a drive for continuous improvement.
Pay: R45 000,00 - R60 000,00 per month
