FMCG Credit Controller (Syspro)

**Minimum requirements**:

- Monday to Friday 7:30 to 16:15.
- Retail Chain Stores experience required
- Will be responsible for collecting debts from company debtors, evaluating new credit requests, ensuring timely payments of company debts, ability to reconcile complex debtors accounts, processing invoices, maintaining the sales ledger, and providing administrative support

**Responsibilities**
Evaluating new credit requests and conducting client credit checks.

Managing and collecting debts from company debtors.

Setting up the terms of credit for new clients.

Negotiating payment plans and settlements

Managing the collection of all payments and debts efficiently.

Responding timeously to client inquiries

Processing of invoices and credit notes

Ensuring customer statements are sent timeously to customers.

Managing the sales ledger.

Liaising with customers and the sales team.

Ability to deal with problematic clients.

Ability to reconcile complex debtors' accounts.

Initiate legal action against debtors who evade or refuse repayment according to the terms and conditions.

Manage bad and doubtful debt schedules.

**Requirements/Qualifications
- Matric certificate
- Degree or Diploma in Finance is a definite advantage
- 2 years minimum credit control/debtors experience
- Strong reconciliation experience and FMCG background are very beneficial
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices, and collection regulations Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets and accounting software (SYSPRO)
- Proficiency in English and in MS Office Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
