Our ESD unit is recruiting accounting, finance and business experts with the relevant skills and adequate experience to mentor entrepreneurs currently incubated across various Enterprise Development programmes. The unit assists entrepreneurs located in Gauteng to commercialize their businesses in the following sectors: Mining, Green Sector (clean energy, waste management, water and sanitation, Smart Industries (ICT and Advanced Manufacturing) and products in Biotechnology (Agro-processing, Medicines, supplementary and related products).

Mentorship is conducted through face-to-face and/or virtual meetings where accounting, finance and business experts and entrepreneurs are matched to accelerate commercialisation and the bankability of start-up businesses. Businesses range from new entrants to EME's and QSE's in the abovementioned sectors.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

- Bachelor of Commerce degree, or related economics, finance, business degree
- Honours degree
- 3-5 years' professional experience in fields of Accounting or Finance

Selected experts will be expected to undertake the following activities:

- Compile Annual Financial Statements at an SMME level,
- Provide technical accounting & tax expertise at an SMME level,
- Draft, review, or evaluate financial models of the incumbent businesses,
- Generate monthly reports where necessary (ED reports, management accounts and other required reporting),
- Mentor and advise business within the allocated portfolio
- Keep the ESD unit abreast of cutting edge local and international accounting/finance standards
- A motivational/cover letter,
- An updated CV detailing the requisite expertise and experience, and
- Certified Copies of qualifications.
