**Finance & Admin Clerk**

**Role overview**:

- Part time; 25 hours per week; Monday - Friday 8am - 1pm
- Salary dependent on skills and experience
- Office based, in Cape Town, Panorama Healthcare Centre

Close liaison will be required with other departments both within South Africa and the MED-EL Global Headquarters in Austria to fully understand systems & data content and ensure data is accurate and relevant within a variety of systems.

With support from our external company accountant, you will oversee and manage the smooth running of the finance function, responsible for administering financial transactions, demonstrating an awareness of commercial impact of these.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Process and record financial transactions accurately and timely
- Financial Reporting - prepare accurate financial statements and reports including our bi-weekly sales reports
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports, statements and admin reports
- Report and proactively chase outstanding payments
- Maintain and update financial records, including invoices, receipts, payments and client accounts
- Bank reconciliation
- Monthly expense submission administration
- Patient Support Plan (PSP) monthly statements, allocation of payments and filing
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations
- Answering incoming telephone calls
- Welcoming visitors to the office
- Provide administrative support to the operations team
- Support new system implementations on an ad hoc basis

**Qualifications**:

- A diploma or degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a similar role
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and SAGE
- Familiarity with databases, CRM systems & stock management / finance systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and procedures
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing priorities.
