**Job Purpose**:
The Department of Infrastructure, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a suitably and competent individual to render a verification and data capturing service to the office of the Mechanical Workshop. This post is stationed in Belville.

**Minimum Requirements**: Grade 12 (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification).
**Recommendation**:
None.

**Key Performance Areas**:
Capture data from available records into the required formats e.g. databases, table, spreadsheet; Verify query missing data and errors observed during data entry; Review and validate all data from the records; Submit data; Make regular backups of data; Update registers and statistics; Keep and maintain records and files; Ensure records and files are properly sorted and secured; Provide information to components.

**Competencies**:
A good understanding of appropriate computerised systems and packages; A basic knowledge of spreadsheets and databases; Proven computer literacy (MS Office). Skills in the following: Communication (verbal and written); Numeracy and literacy; Planning and organising; Flexibility; Ability to work part of a team and independently.

**Remuneration**:
R 171 537 per annum (Salary level 4)
