**Job Advert Summary**:
**Purpose of the position**:
To collaboratively develop psychosocial services for people who use drugs and to ensure services are implemented consistently across sites. To ensure clients accessing the DICs are having their needs met by: (i) assessing their individual and collective needs. (ii) Implementing interventions and processes to meet these needs; (iii) ensuring that the PWUD accessing the centre participate in the decisions of the DIC and take responsibility for their actions and the areas they occupy and are treated with respect; (iv) ensure that the DIC is welcoming and a safe space for PWUD to visit.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- Honours Degree in BSocSc
- HPCSA Registered and or Professional Registered Body
- Minimum of 2 years’ related experience or a combination of psychosocial education and addictions experience
- Harm Reduction experience is desirable
- Proficiency in English & another African language
- Valid code 8 driver’s licence
- Clear criminal record
- Clear credit record
- Ability to travel nationally

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Provide clinical support to psychosocial teams
- Follow up on psychosocial referrals from the fieldwork and management teams with sites
- Provide trauma and crisis counselling for clients and staff if required
- Ensure adequate supervision is in place for a psychosocial staff
- Ensure that the DIC and “Chill Zone” are safe and welcoming spaces for PWUD through cooperation and communication with site management
- Provide support to the PWUD networks
- Ensure that psychosocial programmes and services are coordinated, reported on and consistent across all sites
- Work collaboratively with the psychosocial staff, general staff and management across all programmes
- Prioritise and manage risk to the individual, the group, the program and the organization
- Coordinate the development of psychosocial service processes, SOPS and content in collaboration with psychosocial staff, under the guidance of the National PWID Programme Manager
- Identify training gaps to upskill staff
- Develop and maintain a system for monitoring service utilisation, client satisfaction and performance
- Provide monthly quantitative reports and quarterly narrative and quantitative reports
- Ensure that teams work towards the objectives outlined in the yearly work plans

Identify potential advocacy issues and report to the advocacy officer
