**Job purpose**

To develop and manage a brand strategy for BLD and GCRS’s portfolio of brands, in support of achieving the organization’s sales and growth objectives.

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform an annual brand diagnostic across all relevant brands within the business
- Develop a multi-year brand strategy, spanning short-term and long-term objectives
- Clearly articulate the positioning and target audience of each of the brands
- Develop tactical execution plans for all brands
- Execute tactical execution plans, and measure the performance against these plans
- Distribute brand-related reporting to stakeholders
- Design brand elements, including brand codes and personality
- Develop brand assets including digital platforms
- Ongoing management of digital platforms, including social media pages
- Design point of sale elements per brand
- Design trade activation elements per brand
- Develop an annual brand management budget and operate within this budget
- Measure, analyse and report on brand performance and identify ongoing improvement opportunities
- Conduct market research, including consumer and merchant attitudinal and behaviour trends
- Create brand-related competitor understanding
- Create market segmentation and targeting strategies for consumers
- Stay on top of market and industry trends and continuously increase knowledge through formal and informal channels
- Support the Marketing Manager in the effective execution of the marketing strategies related to all products and segments
- Manage relationships with internal parties: Marketing, Sales, Product, Commercialisation, Finance, Technology, Projects and Business Improvement, Customer Interaction Centre, Business Intelligence
- Manage relationships with external parties: Brand and Marketing Suppliers, Product Suppliers, Merchants, Key Accounts, Consumers, Agencies
- Manage the brand team to ensure effective achievement of brand objectives
- Develop and grow brand team members
- Share SME knowledge with stakeholders and drive an increased brand focus within the greater organisation

**Education**
- Matric
- Preferably a qualification in brand or marketing management

Experience
- 5 years in brand management or marketing-related role
