Security Guard

**Job Title: Day Shift Security Officer (Grade C) - Residential Estate**

**Job Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Patrolling**: Conduct regular foot patrols of the estate, including entrances, perimeters, parking areas, and common facilities. Ensure all areas are secure and report any suspicious activities or safety hazards.
- **Access Control**: Monitor and control entry and exit points for both residents and visitors. Verify identification, check access permits, and log all visitor information as per the estate's security protocols.
- **Client Assistance**: Provide friendly and professional assistance to residents and visitors, addressing any security-related concerns or requests.
- **Incident Response**: Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or disturbances within the estate. Follow the established procedures for reporting and escalating incidents to the Security Supervisor.
- **Reporting**: Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and any unusual occurrences. Report all relevant information to the Security Supervisor at the end of each shift.
- **Compliance with Procedures**: Ensure all duties are performed in line with the estate’s security policies and health and safety regulations.
- **Collaborative Duties**: Work closely with other security officers and follow directives from the Security Supervisor to maintain a cohesive and efficient security team.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Valid **Grade C** security certification.
- Experience in security, preferably in a residential or estate environment.
- Strong observation skills with attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with residents and visitors.
- Ability to remain calm and act decisively in emergency situations.
- Physically fit and able to conduct routine patrols on foot.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: R5 000,00 per month

Expected hours: No less than 42 per week

License/Certification:

- PSIRA Certificate (required)
