**THE JOB AT A GLANCE**

Reporting into the Head of Organisational Effectiveness, the Talent and Performance Manager will be responsible for developing, enhancing and driving the D&I, Talent Acquisition, Performance and Talent management strategies.

**WHAT WILL YOU DO?**

**Talent Management**:

- Enhance and execute the Talent Management Strategy and Framework
- Facilitate Exco Talent Review sessions
- Run the Annual Talent Review process to identify top talent and ensure career conversations are part of the culture.
- Manage the Talent and Succession Pools tracking development and retention of the Top 50
- Improve succession cover ratios for internal and external successors.
- Track and enhance career development of key talent in line with 70/20/10 learning strategies e.g., implement job shadowing, rotations, job swaps etc.
- Own the end-to-end onboarding journey and conduct onboarding and career transition surveys to ensure execution by Human Capital Business Partners and Line Managers.
- Partner with Learning and Development to create a world class young talent strategy and graduate programme.

**Performance Management**:

- Define and implement High Performance culture initiatives.
- Enhance and execute the Performance Management Strategy and Framework.
- Run the goal setting (score-carding) mid-year and Annual Performance Management process.
- In collaboration with the Reporting and Analytics team, run the annual leadership 360.
- Encourage ongoing and in the moment performance management.
- **Talent Attraction (Employer Marketing)**:

- Benchmark recruitment and sourcing strategies (buy, build, borrow etc.) and align in order to meet talent demands for talent segments (scarce/critical/on-demand skills) now and in the future.
- Develop, implement and maintain the employer marketing strategy, practices and processes. Responsible for building and growing the Organisation’s Employer Brand both internally and externally in collaboration with the Employee Engagement and Comms team.
- Develop and implement a strategy for building the organisation as an employer of choice and highlighting our EVP. Evaluate the employer brand position on an ongoing basis.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team and Employee Engagement team to drive the EVP. Manage the social media platforms in relation to talent attraction.

**Talent Acquisition**:

- Develop, implement, and enhance the talent acquisition strategy, practices and processes
- Manage Employment Equity recruitment to align with Employment Equity targets.
- Manage the process of building an external talent pool for critical roles, succession and scarce skills.
- Governance, recruitment risk management and SLA Management as well as resolve escalations with Human Capital Business Partners and Talent Acquisition.
- Assist with sourcing and interviews for key senior manager and executive roles.
- Procure recruitment related service providers in line with the Procurement Policy. Monitor and constantly reduce the costs of the recruitment process.
- Manage job boards and build sustainable relationships with recruitment suppliers and key account managers.
- Provide consultation to Recruitment team recruitment in sourcing high potential internal and external talent.
- Meet with internal clients on a regular basis to address and close potential gaps that are identified researched.
- Build quality relationships with internal customers and external recruitment agencies. Educate recruitment agents on use of the e-Talent system and ensure that the team keeps the e-Talent Always maintain a High Level of Customer Service with all stakeholders.
- As the COE - Design recruitment related training to upskill and coach talent acquisition specialists, Human Capital Business Partners and line managers.
- Ensure that ongoing coaching is provided to Talent Acquisition Specialists
- Provide regular feedback to the Lead Human Capital Business Partners on the performance of Talent Acquisition Specialists and ensure that the productivity of is monitored on an ongoing basis.
- Manage the payment of invoices for suppliers as well as overall agency spend as per the agreed ratios and report on unusual expenditures.

**Diversity & Inclusion, Reporting and Compliance**:

- Develop and Implement the D&I strategy in collaboration with Employee Relations
- Prepare monthly reports for the Employment Equity Committee and represent the company at this forum.
- Report back to the Transformation Committee on progress against plans. Ensure and enforce compliance in relation to company recruitment policies and practices as well as the Employment Equity Act for team as well as organisation.
- Ensure that onboarding of recruitment suppliers is in line with the Procurement Policy.
- Monitor changes to the labour legislation and implement required changes to keep the process compliant. Ensure compliance to the Employment Equity Plan, targets and goals.
