Conduct field sampling of soil, waste rock, tailings, groundwater, surface water, and sediments following standard environmental protocols.
- Assist in data analysis and interpretation to evaluate Mine Drainage and Metal Leaching.
- Perform laboratory data interpretation and quality control to ensure accuracy in geochemical assessments.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including hydrogeologists and environmental scientists.
- Prepare technical reports, including data summaries, figures, and interpretations of geochemical trends.
- Proficiency in relevant environmental legislations.
- Maintain safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and environmental standards during field operations.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
- Proficiency in French or Spanish would be advantageous.
- Capacity to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Aptitude for independently learning and interpreting new software packages, if required.
- Strong analytical skills and sound administration skills.
- Possession of a valid passport and driver's license.
- A willingness to travel within Africa and potentially other locations, as required.

**Qualifications**
- A bachelor's degree in geochemistry, geology, chemistry,chemical engineering, or a related field.
- An Honours/Master’s degree in geochemistry, geology, or chemistry is preferred.
- Ability and willingness to achieve professional registration or industry certification.

**Work Experience**
- 2-4 years of experience in a geochemistry/hydro-geochemistry role, preferably within the mining industry.
- Familiarity with using geochemical software packages, with preference given to experience with Geochemist's Workbench or Phreeqc.
