Our client has an opportunity available for a Maintenance Technician.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 5 years automotive industry experience, plastic injection moulding a requirement
- Working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics, compressors, pumps, chillers.
- Comprehensive electrical/mechanical knowledge
- Electrical/mechanical trouble shooting skills
- Working knowledge Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), Mitsubishi will be an advantage
- Working knowledge of robotics (six axis) will be added advantage
- Knowledge of conveyors, compressors, pumps, cooling towers, chillers
- Valid Driver’s license

Qualification:

- Qualified Millwright/Artisan (strong electrical and mechanical attributes)
- NTC 5 and higher
- Technical qualification

**Responsibilities**:

- To provide input and support to ensure all preventative, predictive, breakdown maintenance in the Plant. This will be carried out in the following areas, Injection Moulding and Assembly, Utilities, Buildings, Offices and surrounds.
- To liaise with suppliers, contractors, consultants and customers where and when required to ensure continuous supply and provision of maintenance related support and resources
- To assist with the development, introduction and sustainability of the maintenance program
- Assist with the implementation and sustainability of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) in the production environment
- Compile and update work instructions were deemed necessary for maintenance and production processes
- To actively participate in the preparation and submission of all plant proposals for recording and verification to ensure continuous improvement and optimisation
- To ensure compliance to Company policies/procedures and all legislative requirements and to timeously inform management of any deviations
- To adhere to all aspects of the OSHACT, ISO/TS16949, ISO14001 and OSHAS 18001
- To ensure all electrical and mechanical installations are done according to SANS regulations
- To ensure all equipment, power and hand tools are in good and safe working condition and operated, stored and maintained in accordance with specific requirements
- To assist with other tasks that may be deemed to be operational, which responsibility should not unduly be withheld
- To be on standby duties and work overtime when deemed necessary in accordance with the stipulations in the company policies and procedures relating to overtime and standby requirements
- To be responsible for own self-development and actively drive the continuous development of the Maintenance team members
- To take control of spare parts and spare stock levels
- Analyse equipment failures to eliminate or reduce downtime using root cause analysis
