**Job Purpose**:
The Department of Infrastructure, Western Cape Government has an opportunity for a qualified Town and Regional Planner to render town and regional planning support services to local municipalities for human settlement purposes.

**Minimum Requirements**:
An appropriate B-Degree in Urban/Town and Regional Planning or equivalent qualification; Compulsory registration with SACPLAN as a professional Town and Regional Planner on appointment; A minimum of 3-years post qualification Town and Regional Planning experience required; A valid Code B driving licence.

**Key Performance Areas**:
Influence forward planning through the IDP and sectoral plans; Render technical support in project planning for the district area; Undertake transversal planning for region; Management of staff.

**Competencies**:
**Remuneration**:
Grade A: R 721 476- R 774 267 per annum (OSD as prescribed).

Note on remuneration: Cost-to-employer CTE remuneration packages for certain occupation-specific dispensations OSD, the middle management service MMS and contract positions are inclusive of all costs related to service benefits or obligations including basic salary, 13th cheque, medical assistance, housing assistance, pension-fund ontributions, etc. MMS remuneration packages are flexible and may be individually structured as prescribed. Where remuneration is not indicated as CTE, employees' service benefits or obligations are funded or cofunded in terms of the applicable prescripts or collective agreements.
