JOB SUMMARY / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead new Product development deliverables within projects (innovation, renovation, business continuity initiatives) across different markets.- Lead a formulation team as the R&D Workstream lead and Technical Project lead to deliver said projects.- Delivery of the formulation technical mix that complies with all consumer safety standards, highest positive nutrition standards and defined costs- Conduct robust design of experiments in new product development or calamity support- Data capturing (qualitative and quantitative) and presentation/reporting- Collaborate in product qualification including product stability testing, micro-challenge, and performance testing - internal and external- Collaborate with global teams in the implementation of new product development technologies- Development of external manufacturing providers of capability and technology to grow and develop R&D ecosystem- Responsible for integrity of specifications and formulations in specification management system. Provision of specification for every product in market and ensure that all new, or rejuvenated products have & match agreed specs.- Conduct and support market analyses to identify products’ innovative points of differentiation for formulation, claims and/or performance.- Participate in the maintenance of an audit compliant Nutrition lab and working areas- Identify, review and assess key technologies from external and internal sources.- Stay abreast of technical developments and regulatory updates in the Foods category

KEY REQUIREMENTS- A Degree in Food Sciences, Biotech or Food Process Engineering- 3-5 years of relevant experience in R&D, Formulation Development or Technical Product Management- Exposure to product development / design simulation programmes- Skilled in analysing risk and stakeholder management- Ability to manage 3P / external relationships- Digitally savvy - Demo creation - an element of creativity required, data- Dietary requirements: None, as you will be required to taste an array of foods- Great people skills, building and maintaining relationships with an ability to be persuasive and assertive when necessary- Engage effectively with both internal and external partners
