Our client is looking for a passionate, energetic and approachable Biokineticist to join their practice in Somerset West. You will be responsible for assessing physical function and developing personalized exercise-based programs to promote health, manage chronic conditions, and rehabilitate injuries. The role involves working closely with patients to restore movement, prevent injury, and improve physical performance. Minimum of 4 - 5 years’ experience is required.
You will be responsible for but not limited to:
Conduct thorough assessments of clients' physical capabilities
Implement rehabilitation strategies and monitor progress
Develop personalised biokinetics programs to address specific needs
Provide detailed reports to Doctors and Physiotherapists, offering feedback on patient progress and treatment outcomes
Conduct physical assessments and screenings to evaluate strength, flexibility, posture, and movement patterns
Design and implement individualized exercise programs for injury prevention, rehabilitation, or chronic disease management (e.g., diabetes, arthritis, cardiovascular disease)
Monitor and adjust exercise programs based on patient progress
Educate patients on healthy movement patterns and lifestyle modifications
Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals such as physiotherapists, doctors, and dietitians
Keep accurate records of patient assessments, treatment plans, and outcomes
Use technology and equipment such as treadmills, resistance machines, and balance tools for assessment and rehabilitation
Stay updated with the latest research and developments in exercise science and biokinetics
**Education / Requirements**:
Matric
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Biokinetics or related field
Must be fully qualified
Registered (HPCSA & BASA)
Additional courses advantageous
Updated Malpractice insurance
First aid & CPR qualified
Own, reliable transport & ability to travel between practice locations
Strong understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and exercise science
Computer Literate MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: R45 000,00 - R50 000,00 per month
Work Location: In person
