**Role and Responsibilities**

The payments function will require an individual to:

- Assisting with incoming deposits, and client payments and settlements on a daily basis (manual or automated)
- Assisting merchants, and merchant support teams, with 3rd party payouts and deposits
- Working with compliance and monitoring teams with any flagged transactions, RFI's and/or the whitelisting of counterparties
- Assistance, tracking and resolve of any open payment queries
- Assisting the on-boarding and client relationship management teams with setting up new client account, loading payment methods and helping to resolve queries as well as more general assistance where needed
- Assistance with client financial reporting where required
- Review statements and provide advice on issues pertaining to business finance
- Seek to maintain a positive professional relationship with partner financial intuitions, merchants and operational teams
- Assisting senior payment operations team members with any tasks or duties delegated
- Assist the head of treasury and treasury manager in all financial decisions and ad hoc requests
- Completing daily reconciliations for client and corporate accounts_Comparing internal back office system balances (Admin Tool) to external sources_Assisting the reconciliation team in investigating reconciliation breaks or discrepancies in daily NAV reporting_Completing monthly reconciliations on non-client money bank accounts for the Group_Assistance with safeguarding and reconciliation procedures around EMI operations_Produce KPI's on payments statistics within the business_Assistance with periodic reviews of fees for banking and payment partners_Assist wider finance team with ad hoc requests_

**Qualifications & Experience**

**Essential**
- 2-4 years experience in the relevant field
- Must be proficient in Excel
- Extremely detail oriented and organized
- Fluent in English
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Presenting Statistical findings
- Understanding of how to communicate workflows
- BCom/BBusSci degree in finance, financial risk management, financial accounting, accounting, auditing or any relevant degree will be advantageous
- Financial reporting experience, strong analysis skills, projections and forecasting

**Desirable**
- Having finished Articles is a plus
- Knowledgeable about cryptocurrency, DeFi or neo-banking
- Financial reporting and payments experience is beneficial
