**Requirements**:

- A relevant B Degree (Commerce Legal, Engineering, Project

Management or other relevant to operations/directorate business
area
- 5 years relevant Contract Management and Contract

Administration experience
- Professional Registration with a relevant body (advantageous)
- High degree of independence
- A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel
- Computer Literacy - (advance MS Excel, use of SAP)

Key Performance Areas
- Oversee directorate contract management activities and apply

a body of specialist knowledge and expertise to enable adherence
to the organisation-wide approach to contract management as set
out in the Contract Management Framework and other relevant
City of Cape Town (City) policies and procedures
- Improve contract management maturity of the directorate
- Standardisation of contract management processes
- Advising, formulating and implementing strategy, policy and

procedures
- Conduct project gate reviews (commercial and regulatory case)
- Oversee management of transversal contracts
- Ensure auditability of all directorate contracts
- Coordinate contract management training and assist in the

improvement of individual competence in this discipline
through mentoring and other developmental interventions
- Giving advice to contract managers and project managers in

terms of ensuring Capex & Opex
- Management of an active demand plan for Water & Sanitation

directing the needs for goods & services, construction and
consultants
- Ensuring compliance to laid down policies, regulations and

procedures.
