Associate Analyst

-The purpose of this position is to assist in analysing trends, identifying risks associated with cross-border flows and providing information to relevant stakeholders, in order to ensure compliance with the exchange control regulations and relevant legislation as well as to support policy formulation within the South African Reserve bank (SARB) -Detailed Description - Analyse reporting entities data on cross-border flows and compiling thorough, concise and reliable reports covering compliance and risk. -- Conduct specialist analysis of high risk categories and high risk areas of reporting entities across the industry. -- Monitor reporting entities risk status and responses to department recommendations. -- Independently research specific areas of risk and report on the findings to a more senior analyst. -- Analyse, interpret and collate management information for escalation to the manager. -- Highlight risk problems and challenges based on analysis and facilitate internal meetings to review these as well as develop recommendations for reporting entities. -- Assist in planning and managing inspection schedule of reporting entities (Authorised Dealers (ADs) and Authorised Dealers with Limited Authority (ADLAs)); and the planning of risk-focused analysis and assessments. -- Produce management reports and presenting departmental reports on reporting entities risk profiles and approaches to risk management within the division. -- Prepare briefings and presentations for meetings with reporting entities as well as make presentations to internal meetings of the division presenting sections of work.
