If you have the strength and stamina for heavy lifting, attention to detail, and strong work ethic, a high sense of ownership, we want to hear from you **The Role**: A **General Assistant**, is responsible for: - **Repairs & Maintenance** - Repair damaged inventory, including furniture and wooden items. - **Reupholstering & Woodwork** - Perform reupholstery and woodwork as needed. - **Stock Handling** - Pick, wrap, load, and offload merchandise safely. - **Inventory Management** - Organise, stack, and prepare stock for dispatch or delivery. - **Teamwork** - Work collaboratively to achieve department goals. - **Housekeeping & Safety** - Ensure tools are maintained and safety procedures are followed. **What We’re Looking For**: ✔ **3+ years** of experience in **woodwork, furniture assembly, or upholstery.** ✔ Experience in a **warehouse or logistics environment** (advantageous). ✔ Basic **numeracy and literacy skills** to follow instructions accurately. ✔ A **Code 08 driver’s license** (advantageous). ✔ A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to multitask. **What We Offer**: At Wheco, we believe in creating an environment where every employee feels valued, supported, and empowered to grow.
