Warehouse Supervisor/2ic

**Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction being the primary goal, by supervising, organizing, directing, and training warehouse employees and establishing, monitoring, and managing operation goals**:

- Develop warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory management, gate processes, and shipping
- **Train and manage a warehouse team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short
- and long-term performance goals**:

- Oversee daily operations, while controlling and managing inventory and logistics **Review and prepare workflow, manning and space requirements, equipment layout, and action plans while ensuring productivity, quality and customer service standards are met ** Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations & prepare and implement a comprehensive Safe and Healthy plan. Daily and Monthly Responsibilities
- **Supervise daily activities of the warehouse, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, customer service and monitoring**:

- **Safety and Health ** Schedule and oversee warehouse team to meet the demands of the fulfillment center, and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime
- **Inspect equipment, tools, and machinery regularly, and oversee general maintenance as needed**:

- Meet regularly with warehouse leads to review, analyze, and develop actionable plans for productivity and loss prevention which include sourcing suppliers with the aim at cost saving and turn around times that meets the company’s expectation
- **Oversee and manage logistics utilized to transport products to customers and internal facilities, communicating with drivers and air partners to ensure efficient delivery of packages Skills and Qualifications**:

- Matric
- **Qualification in Warehouse Management or similar - huge advantage**:

- Valid certification in Safety and Health - not negotiable
- **Experience with Omni or similar stock and distribution system**:

- 7 - 10 years’ experience in a warehouse lead role managing employees
- **Proficient knowledge of warehouse procedure and policy and able to develop and execute SOP’s**:

- Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities
- **Understanding of business operations in terms of finance, costing, budgets etc. ** Ability to work with all levels of company staff
- **Comfortable delivering frequent direct written and oral feedback which includes reports to the CEO**:

- **E-commerce experience - online bookings, tracking, tracing of shipments**

**Salary**: R8,000.00 - R12,000.00 per month

**Education**:

- Certificate (preferred)

**Experience**:

- cost effective route planning: 5 years (preferred)
- Omni Stock System - advantage: 2 years (preferred)
- E-commerce: 4 years (preferred)
- warehouse supervisor/team leader: 5 years (required)
- budgets: 2 years (preferred)
- writing SOP's: 2 years (preferred)

License/Certification:

- Forklift license - advantage (preferred)
- Valid Health and Safety Certificate (preferred)
