This position is ideal for a culinary enthusiast who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to contribute to our menu's creativity and diversity.

**Location**: Woodstock, Cape Town

**Salary Range**: Negotiable, based on experience

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare high-quality dishes that follow the restaurant's recipes and specifications.
- Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by following sanitation standards and food preparation techniques.
- Work with the head chef to develop new menu items and daily specials.
- Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages.
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly.
- Check the quality of ingredients and adjust cooking times and temperatures for the best results.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a cook in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Familiarity with industry’s best practices and culinary techniques.
- Ability to work well under pressure and take direction from senior chefs.
- Creativity and passion for food.
- Culinary school diploma preferred but not required.
