**Description**:
An executive level role has recently become available at the Cape Town office of a JSE listed Financial Services Group. The Group is looking to appoint an experienced and hands-on Divisional CFO into one of their key and largest business divisions. The Distribution division focuses on all the financial and reporting related aspects linked to our Insure and Wealth adviser force and is a key contributor to the success of the Group.

CFO: PSG Distribution will be accountable for the Distribution Finance Team (±45 staff members), including 6 direct reports, and role will report directly to the PSG Financial Services Group CFO and will also be a member of the Distribution Executive Committee.

**Responsibilities**
- Maintaining, enhancing, and streamlining financial operations, accounting records and processes/ systems
- Effective management of operational costs, including the continual refinement and introduction of technology to streamline administrative systems and resources
- Provision of better financial information and context for improved decision making
- Critically examining financial information and regulatory returns for accuracy and ensure timely reporting thereof
- Keeping abreast of any industry developments and technologies that may impact on statutory submissions
- Managing the financial and business risk, by ensuring that internal and external reporting is of a high standard
- Reduce operational risk by enhancing the financial control environment
- Overseeing submission of Tax Returns and dealing with SARS queries
- Dealing with complex financial issues, including the vesting of new acquisitions into the business
- Build relationships and work closely with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring all queries are responded to timeously
- Co-ordination of requirements of other areas of the business in relation to the finance function
- Supporting the Group CEO to monetise strategic ideas and monitor business performance against strategic targets and plans
- Effective management of employees, and management of their performance

**Minimum Requirements**:

- CA(SA) - non negotiable
- Min 10 years relevant experience in financial services, with a preference for the advisory, wealth, insurance or asset management industry
- Preferably experienced in Qlik Cloud/QlikView as well as Accpac
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
