**Job Title: Locum Dental Assistant with HPCSA - Private Practice (Cape Town)**

**Position: Locum Dental Assistant with HPCSA**

**Location: Cape Town, Western Cape**

**Responsibilities**:
As a Locum Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team and ensuring the smooth operation of the practice. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
1. Assisting the dentist during dental procedures.

2. Preparing treatment rooms and sterilizing instruments.

3. Taking and developing dental X-rays.

4. Providing chairside assistance to the dentist.

5. Educating patients on oral hygiene practices.

6. Maintaining accurate patient records.

7. Managing and organizing dental supplies.

**Requirements**:
1. Valid registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Dental Assistant.

2. Proven experience as a Dental Assistant in a private practice setting.

3. Proficient in dental terminology and procedures.

4. Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

5. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

6. Knowledge of infection control procedures and sterilization techniques.

7. Ability to work well in a team environment.

Duration:
This is a locum position with an expected duration. There may be opportunities for extension based on practice needs and individual performance.

**Job Types**: Temporary, Temp to perm

**Salary**: R200.00 - R300.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Cape Town, Western Cape: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Education**:

- Diploma (preferred)

License/Certification:

- HPCSA (preferred)
