-The purpose of this position is to perform hands-on technical support and administration as well as to maintain endpoint security technologies and solutions for the South African Reserve Bank (SARB) Group. -Detailed Description - Administer and maintain endpoint security technologies by performing daily health checks. -- Provide first level support on cyber security solutions to ensure optimal performance. -- Diagnose problems, choose and/or modify routines to deal with them, displaying the ability to provide solutions/approaches for problems within a defined context. -- Facilitate the regular review of technical configuration documentation and maintain back-ups of technical configurations. -- Coordinate the activities related to service requests and incidents, to ensure timeous resolution thereof. -- Provide regular reports and status updates (daily, weekly and monthly as defined) to team leader and members. -- Manage relationships with all stakeholders, role players and service providers to ensure commitment to a common goal. -- Define own work plan and deliverables with guidance from the team lead. -- Perform work independently within established practices, given processes, rules and regulations. -- Proactively broaden knowledge of functional area, displaying willingness to make improvements in own work, and address task specific learning needs and relevant certification requirements. -Job Requirements - an NQF5 qualification in Cyber/Information Security or an equivalent qualification; -- internationally recognised security OEM Product Specific Certifications (e.g. Microsoft, Symantec or Sophos); -- one to two years’ experience in information technology (IT); and -- IT security exposure, which is a key requirement for this role.
