In today’s fast-paced and increasingly digital world, the banking sector is under immense pressure to evolve. The Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) Division of Absa is in the midst of a significant digital transformation journey, aimed at positioning the bank as a leader in a highly competitive and rapidly changing environment.
In our intricate and multifaceted digital and financial services landscape, Absa's CIB is not merely undertaking a project; it is navigating a profound shift in how it operates and delivers value. It is a journey fraught with challenges but also ripe with opportunities for those who can master the complexities of this new digital era. Having a solid digital strategy is key to taking advantage of these growth opportunities, specifically where platform businesses and ventures are concerned. Absa CIB’s main platform business is Absa Access, aimed at delivering deliver market-leading capability for our clients across the continent by offering them a single integrated view of their banking solutions on one platform.
In this role the Digital Change manager will affect the Digital Platform Services initiatives to enable Digital Transformation awareness and messaging and adoption of Digital Tools in Absa CIB to enable new ways of working and a digital workforce. The Digital Change Manager will also engage with and empower Colleagues with new digital ways of working and new tools where appropriate.
**Job Description**:
Your key accountabilities will include the following;
Solution Definition;
- Identify needs and gaps in our DPS internal communications/engagement content and recommend new content to address gaps.
- Produce and develop well-researched content to promote the Absa Access products and services.
- Coordinate with marketing and design teams to illustrate content Absa Access
- Proof-read and edit Absa Access documentation before publication
- Implement Colleague Engagement with initiatives to promote adoption of new digital tools and Ways of Work
Establish people change context;
- Advocate & create awareness of the Accountable Executive (AE) enablement online Programme to ensure visible and active sponsorship
- Contribute to the design of Case for Change (C4C)
- Gather stakeholder information to ensure stakeholder ecosystem mapped and identified
- Determine anticipated people change impacts to ensure people change risks are addressed
Change management and engagement;
- Define and manage the implementation of the digital strategy and the digital success measures communication, engagement and change management strategies.
Develop people change plans;
- Develop people change plans to ensure change adoption and embedment
- Ensure people change plans and approach align with project plan and approach
Collaboration across business units;
- Support collaboration across all value stream and platform teams including design, technology and marketing
- Aligning stakeholders on the methods of work and the outcomes driven approach.
Implement change management plans;
- Implement people change plans to ensure change adoption and colleague empowerment
- Support AE by providing guidelines to ensure visible and active sponsorship
Reporting and Analytics;
- Produce reporting for various stakeholders to keep them informed of progress and status of the projects/deliverables

- Experience in a digital team or business is a key requirement
- Proven track record of creating a communication or change campaign
- Digital tooling e.g. Microsoft suite, Canva, Miro, Trello and Confluence
