**Job Advert Summary**:
The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for researching, developing and implementing mechanisms and tools to ensure operational efficiency and continuous improvement of the supply chain value chain.

**Minimum Requirements**:

- NQF 6 Qualification in Supply Chain Management, Project Management, Finance, Business Management or Engineering OR Minimum CIPS Corporate Award Practitioner
- Minimum 4 years’ relevant working experience
- Eligibility to be registered with the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS)

**Primary Duties**:

- To monitor, evaluate and report on productivity management of the procurement process;
- To conduct research and development that will improve the SCM model;
- To implement innovative solutions to improve the efficiency of the SCM value chain;
- To implement systems that will enable automation of the SCM value chain;
- To conduct market analysis to enable Rand Water to determine the best pricing for goods/services;
- To conduct comparative studies and recommend process enhancements;
- To assess the efficiency of supply chain processes in conjunction with departmental and functional managers;
- To ensure supply chain activities are assessed for risk and provide mitigation measures.

**Knowledge**:

- Knowledge of the national SCM regulations i.e. PFMA, PPPFA, CIDB best practice etc. and understanding of the FIDIC (and NEC3) suit of contracts
- SCM Practices and Procedures
- Understanding of Economic Transformation in Supply Chain Management
- Research and Analytics
