Coordinator: Student Entrepreneurship

You will report to the Director: Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. We seek a person who thrives in an impact and purpose-driven organisation. You must have a passion for wanting to see entrepreneurship flourishing on the university campus with a special emphasis on students and see the potential of achieving this by bringing an entrepreneurial mindset and skills training and exposure to students.
The job requirements include:
- Communicate with stakeholders on various platforms.
- Design and adapt programmes for the engagement of students and stakeholders.
- Facilitate engagements with sponsors and stakeholders to maintain relationships and secure resources for the University.
- Planning and showcasing of various entrepreneurial events and programmes that will translate into the appropriate exposure and impact.
- Training of various students and stakeholders.
- Activating networks and relationships to access resources and ensuring appropriate resourcing of programmes.
- Setting up frameworks to onboard training partners and performing appropriate due diligence.
- Securing student cohorts and cohort planning.
- Reporting to grantors, management and governance structures.
- Provide input into overall CEI strategy and how best to scale including assessing how we could adopt various approaches including using a ‘train the trainer’ approach and designing a roll out plan for scale in collaboration with the Director and stakeholders.
- Build and maintain major stakeholder relationships of interest to the CEI within the university training and entrepreneurship sector, manage varying expectations and communicate effectively with all relevant institutional and individuals.
- Conduct Ecosystem think tanks with major stakeholders to aid co-creation.
- Maintain partner training organisations and service provider relationships, contract negotiations and communication.
- Analysing information and data and compiling reports to the Director on implementation, performance, and impact of the CEI Student entrepreneurship programme, compiling of the student entrepreneurship annual publication.
**Minimum Requirements**
- 3-5 years’ relevant work experience
- Matric and a relevant degree
- Ability to communicate fluently in English language
- Project management and project tracking skills together with, planning, budget management skills
- Report writing, problem solving, capacity to develop processes and systems with the ability to develop and refine programme elements in an evidence-based manner. Design, develop and deliver students orientated programmes across curricula
- Strong inter-personal skills including stakeholder relationship building, verbal and written communication, media engagement, public speaking, facilitation and coaching. Ability to relate to undergraduate, graduate and alumni needs
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Willingness to travel as required
- Knowledge of higher education would be an added advantage.
