Requirements
- A Bachelors/BTech/ND in Civil Engineering
- At least 5 to 8 years’ relevant post-qualification experience in the

design, construction and maintenance of municipal services,

including roads, stormwater and related infrastructure.
- Computer proficiency
- A valid Code EB driver’s licence
- Willingness to work after hours, including weekends when required.

Key Performance Areas
- Providing Roads & Stormwater input and guidance into

Development Approvals and Building Plans, by ensuring that the City

inherits sustainable infrastructure from developers
- Manage development projects to ensure compliance to design,

bylaws and policies.
- Coordinate public and private project development for housing,

commercial and industrial usages to ensure that compliance to

standards and target dates are met.
- Undertake technical and site investigations and advise internal work

teams or external contractors of any deviations to ensure that set civil

engineering constructions standards are adhered to.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders and bodies, such as

councillors, consultants and developers regarding infrastructure

development initiatives.
- Monitor and evaluate progress of civil engineering works,

maintenance or construction executed in the road reserve
- Design small projects and inspect building sites
- Undertake project management and procurement of services,

including preparing
