**Minimum Requirements**
- B Degree in Law or equivalent NQF Level 7 qualification
- Good communication and interpretation skills

- Computer literacy
- 5 - 8 years' experience as a Legal Advisor in a public institution

**Core Responsibilities**
- Provide legal advice in order to ensure compliance with legal requirements
- Provide procedural advice in order to ensure compliance with the Rules and Orders
- Attend to claims instituted by and against the Department in order to protect the interests of Council
- Draft legal documents in order to ensure legally sound legal documents
- Provide advice in respect of legislative compliance in order to ensure compliance with legislative requirements
- Provide management support in order to ensure the effective and efficient operation of the division
