Location: Johannesburg- Position Type: Permanent**Purpose of the Job**:
To co-ordinate and carry out physiotherapy services with the aim of improving, or restoring physical function for residents.
**Role and Responsibilities**:
- Promote the well-being of residents across the organisation with a special focus on disabilities
- Provide appropriate and sound physiotherapy treatment to all residents
- Monitor and maintain the use of resources, equipment & supplies
- Contribute to the efficient day to day operation of the physiotherapy department
- Provide effective and adequate supervision to assistants where applicable
- Ensure that staff are updated on new treatment techniques and current trends in physiotherapy
- Communicate with and work alongside all members of MDT in ensuring best outcomes for all residents
- Assist with assessments and therapeutic intervention at all facilities where required
**Qualifications and Education Requirements**:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Physiotherapy
- Current Registration with the HPCSA in the category Physiotherapist Independent Practice
- A minimum of 3 years working experience (inclusive of community service)
- Good knowledge of physiotherapy treatment interventions and rehabilitation
- Experience working with patients with learning and physical disabilities is advantageous

- Excellent interpersonal communication
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team as well as independently
- Sound evaluation and treatment planning skills
- Self-motivated with a willingness to adapt to change
- A strong desire to work with persons with disabilities
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft packages
