**External Sales Executive / Public Relationship Officer (Fasteners Experience)**

The largest independent distributor of fasteners in South Africa is seeking an experienced and energetic individual to join their team. Overall, the Public Relations Officer/Sales Executive would play a vital role in managing the company's external communications, promoting its products and services, and driving sales growth.

**Qualifications**
- Matric Certification
- Own reliable transport and valid driver’s license is essential.
- Successful experience in a similar industry role.
- 3-5 Years’ experience in Engineering/Fastener Sales.
- 3 - 5 years PR experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Read and understand, mechanical and electrical blueprints.
- Working understanding of network communications technology - Internet, as well as Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong communication, Interpersonal and organizational skills.

**Duties**
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with the media, customers, and other stakeholders.
- Developing and implementing PR strategies to enhance the company's brand image and reputation.
- Creating and distributing press releases, media kits, and other communication materials.
- Organizing and coordinating press conferences, events, and promotional activities.
- Monitoring media coverage and managing the company's presence in various media channels.
- Handling inquiries from the media and addressing any issues or crises that may arise.
- Identifying and prospecting potential customers and developing new business opportunities.
- Conducting market research to understand customer needs, preferences, and industry trends.
- Building and maintaining relationships with existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
- Presenting product offerings and negotiating sales contracts or agreements.
- Collaborating with internal teams, such as marketing and product development, to support sales efforts.
- Achieving sales targets and objectives set by the company.
- Providing excellent customer service and resolving any customer concerns or issues.
