Senior Actuarial Manager

Implement the operating model for the Actuarial function that provides a strategic and fit-for-purpose actuarial service which contributes to business growth and strategy realisation.
In collaboration with the GM: Actuarial ensure that best practice actuarial frameworks and processes are followed.
- In collaboration with the GM Actuarial ensure the appropriateness of the methodologies and underlying models used as well as the assumptions made in the calculation of technical provisions (SAM, IFRS) and capital requirements.
If applicable:
- Maintain the build, parameterisation, refinement and validation of the company’s internal capital model.
- Ensure the internal model is operated in a controlled and well-governed manner.
- Assess the sufficiency and quality of the data used for capital modelling, reserving and Solvency II / SAM integration as required.
- Develop & maintain standard formulae model.
- Determine Risk parameters for various requirements (market; operational; UW and non-life) using Capital Modelling tools.
- Produce Actuarial projections (capital; budget and similar)
- Review actuarial technical guidelines and methodologies as well as test; run and review capital models.
- Perform FCI controls for all required areas.
- Provide support to risk management function including the ORSA.
- Provide required oversight in areas of the business requiring actuarial sign-off (including pricing, product development, reinsurance, proposed transactions and others)
- Contribute to embedding Solvency II SAM Awareness.
- Provide reports as required.
- Support ad-hoc Actuarial support for e.g. Finance initiatives incl. expense allocation, and others, timeously and accurately, as required.
- Ensure financial and commercial soundness of advice to the business.
- Provide support to SII / SAM Projects and other Actuarial projects as required.
- Participate in the relevant local governance and other structures as required
- Qualified/nearly qualified Actuary
